When a client received her birthday cupcake and card, she sent us a nice note: "Thanks so much for this, it really made me feel special. It was so nice too when the gentleman was bringing up my bags and he yelled out 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY!' I was having a hard week and this just brought such a smile to my face."
2. We've doubled our impact and so can you!
Our food and nutrition program, Chicken Soup Brigade, has more than doubled their production this year to feed and care for neighbors facing illness and poverty because of COVID-19.
Each week now, they make 12,000 medically-tailored meals, package 1,000 nutritious grocery bags, and deliver food and essential cleaning supplies to 2,000 neighbors living with serious illnesses.
3. You can give a neighbor a home!
The housing crisis in Seattle has gotten even worse this year, but with your support, Lifelong's Housing Team has been able to find long-term housing for 80% of clients.
This is a huge milestone for the chronically unhoused population we serve in Tiny House Villages across the city.
4. We're helping our clients stay on their medication and you can help them!
Our Medical Case Management Team has adapted to 100% telemedicine to serve our clients living with HIV safely and effectively.
Even with this big change, they have increased client engagement and viral suppression rates (in the middle of a pandemic!), which means more clients who are HIV positive are consistently taking their medication.
5. You can volunteer and be a part of our ever-growing team!
Over the last seven months, more than 700 volunteers have helped us serve more neighbors than ever before.
Just within our Chicken Soup Brigade delivery driver volunteers, we saw a 106% increase! We have been overwhelmed and overjoyed by this outpouring of support!
