Thrift Store Associate - Donation Attendant

DEFINITION:
The primary role of the Thrift Store Donation Attendant is to assist in all elements of the Thrift Store operations. The Donation Attendant reports to the Thrift Store Manager. This is a part-time, non-exempt, non-union, regular position. Weekends may be required.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain a regular and timely attendance.
2. Operating cash register competently.
3. Assisting customers courteously.
4. Accepting/sorting usable donations / rejecting unacceptable donations courteously.
5. Assisting in maintaining the store’s cleanliness, safety, and merchandise presentation.

Part-Time Food Delivery Driver

The primary role of the Food Delivery Driver is to deliver groceries and meals to homebound clients and assist the Delivery/Warehouse Coordinator in the clerical functions of the Grocery Delivery Program.  The Food Delivery Driver reports to the Director of Nutritional Services. This is a part-time, non-exempt, non-union, regular position.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Deliver meals and groceries to homebound clients throughout King County in a timely manner
2. Coordinate daily route schedule with the Delivery/Warehouse Coordinator to ensure efficient delivery of groceries and meals
3. Maintain communication with the Delivery/Warehouse Coordinator while en route to client homes in the event of delays
4. Pick-up and help unload donations from partner food bank agencies and donors.
5. Assist with activities related to maintenance and fueling of vans
6. Assist the Delivery/Warehouse Coordinator in the clerical functions of the Delivery/Warehouse Program
7. As assigned by the Delivery/Warehouse Coordinator, perform duties in other departments during in warehouse and other areas non-driving times.
8. Work in Chicken Soup Brigade’s Pick-Up Center assisting clients.
9. Perform all assigned duties of position.
