Lifelong's youth program, MPowerment, helps young people make healthier decisions.
MPowermentPlanned giving is a powerful way to make a difference in the future of the HIV/AIDS movement. By including Lifelong in your will, you can strengthen your community, create a personal legacy and provide tax benefits for your estate. At your death, your estate is entitled to an estate-tax charitable deduction for the full value of your bequest.
Here are some ways to you can provide a solid foundation for Lifelong, now and into the future:
• Prepare a will. More than 60% of people die without one, leaving your family in financial and legal limbo.
• Leave a specific dollar amount or percentage of your assets in your will to Lifelong. Less than 8% of American households have included charities in their estate plan. Imagine the positive impact if everyone made a donation!
• Name Lifelong as the beneficiary of your pension plan, IRA or retirement plan. Doing this can help your family avoid estate and income taxes (up to 70%) that might otherwise be due on these investments.
• Name Lifelong as the owner and/or beneficiary of a new or existing life insurance policy.
• Remember loved ones with memorial gifts.
• Ask your financial advisor to include charitable giving as part of counsel to clients.
Please contact Lifelong’s Development Department at donate@llaa.org or (206) 957-1742 for more information on supporting Lifelong through planned giving.
