Mental Health Access Program

.

Are you currently seeking mental health services?

Lifelong AIDS Alliance’s Mental Health Access Program (MHAP) helps connect HIV+, low income clients with mental health providers in the community.  We have a provider pool of 41 therapists, two mental health agencies, and one psychiatrist.  For clients with insurance, we will help them find a provider who accepts their plan and MHAP will then help cover the cost of co-payments and deductibles for 20 sessions.  For clients with no insurance, we will cover the cost of 20 sessions with one of our providers.  Some providers may ask a small fee beyond what MHAP will pay

Who qualifies for MHAP?

Clients must be HIV+, be a resident of King County, and make less than 200% the federal poverty level, roughly $1700 a month for a single person.

How does someone apply?

The easiest way to apply is to ask your case manager to submit a referral to MHAP.  Clients can apply directly, but then MHAP must contact their case manager to confirm that they qualify.

For questions about MHAP or to apply, please contact Patrick at 206-957-1626.
