Insurance

The burden of living with HIV/AIDS is even greater if a person lacks adequate health insurance.

As part of our commitment to improving the lives of people living with this disease, Lifelong pays for medical insurance for people living with HIV/AIDS across Washington State.

Our Insurance Assistance Program, the Evergreen Health Insurance Program (EHIP) can pay health insurance premiums for people living with HIV/AIDS in Washington State. In 2007, Lifelong made sure that 1,500 Washington residents with HIV/AIDS maintained access to lifesaving medications and health care. We did this by paying for their medical insurance or taking over the premiums they could no longer afford.

More information is available in English and Spanish at www.ehip.org.

Funded in part by the Early Intervention Program with funds from the Ryan White Care Act Part B and Washington State General Funds.
